Safety is a frequently-requested component of workplace English Language training programs. Language barriers, especially, can lead to accidents and improper procedures in the workplace. Adult Education Works has provided safety as part of the curriculum in many workplace English Language training programs, including projects serving advanced manufacturing and production facilities.

The inability to understand proper safety procedures, read safety signs, or correctly report accidents or injuries on the job are hazards that employers must address to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Reduced accidents can lead to reduced healthcare costs and reduced production costs as errors are decreased and procedures are followed more efficiently. Employees often feel more valued by their employer when a safe work environment is seen as a priority.
