Career and Education Fair

We are excited to announce our upcoming Virtual Career and Education Fair on Wednesday, October 21st from 1:00 PM- 2:30 PM. Last year’s fairs were successful, gaining exposure for GAE with 50 local and regional businesses, 14 college programs, and more than 300 attendees. We hope to continue the momentum, albeit virtually.
As before, we are combining Career and College Fairs into one event. To foster meaningful interactions that lead to solid connections, we will pair participants and attendees into industry specific break-out rooms. Each room will have a panel of hiring managers, college partners, and training providers representing:

How it works:
- October 19 – Registrants can preview short employer, education and training program videos and other materials that highlight opportunities, benefits, and skills needed for success. Registrants will have access to these materials 24/7.
- October 20 – Business Engagement and Transition Services will facilitate virtual work readiness workshops to prepare students to speak with employers, education and training programs at the event.
- October 21.- The live Virtual Career and Education Fair will happen via Zoom.
- Grossmont Adult Education will present career training, basic skills, and language programs that connect students to their goals.
- Grossmont and Cuyamaca College representatives will share CE and degree options, financial aid and student support programs.
- After the event, employers and programs will be able to connect with students and job seekers and post their opportunities and hiring events via ERAE’s job board.
